RtNP#70 On a Dirt Road in Vermont

This recording was done a year ago during my US running adventure journey tour, thing. I realize that I should have made it into a podcast episode long ago but as we sometimes do on facebook, share memories from a year ago, let me share this with you now, almost exactly a year later. The recording was done when visiting my dear friend Doug in Vermont and he generously shared his running roads with me. It is an honor to be aloud to share another runner's paths and I have been lucky to have had the opportunity to share quite a few now. All of them beautiful and special. And running with a good friend is, in my opinion, always special.
Listening to this while editing the audio brought back so many great memories from my trip.

For new followers I should probably explain that last year I went on a three week journey in the US and met up with friends in various places. Some friends I knew from earlier visits but many I had learnt to know through this podcast and other internet sites. The fact that we had never met before didn't matter at all. It sure is possible to make good friends on the web.

I never got to produce a proper episode about the journey - sorry - but talked a little about it in RtNP#65 and I kept a travellog on facebook during the trip. Should anyone be interrested the audio could easily be reached but the facebook posts might be more difficult and would probably involve a lot of scrolling.

I don't know if listening to this requires any more explanation. The previous week I had run a half marathon in Minneapolis, two days earlier Doug and I ran the Hot Chocolate 5k and the week after this recording was done I ran the Jeff Galloway 13,1. And in between I had time to do a few other runs with friends and also the opportunity to see and experience a lot. A fantastic journey and great memories.

Now Doug and I invite you to run with us. Let's go.

RtNP#69 Maratona do Porto

In this episode I talk mostly about running and racing and our recent trip to Portugal and the marathon I ran there. I realize that my talking is quite unstructured but that is perhaps not so unusual in this podcast. I hope you can follow the twists and turns between subjects. I really ought to script my podcasts.

RtNP#68 Race Anxiety

Another slightly longer episode this time. I hope you don't mind, you could always split your listening up if/when you get tired of my voice.
This time you'll be listening to a somewhat nervous runner - nervous and maybe even a bit scared because he signed up for a race without being fully prepared for it.

I have signed up for the Maratona do Porto on November the 6th and even though I fear the challenge I must admit that I'm also excited and think it will be a great adventure.
Besides the race I talk scrappily about sound levels, books and weight. Dogs and geese are also mentioned, So if you are able to follow my ramblings you'll get quite a few subjects covered.
Happy listening

RtNP#67 A New gps Watch

We are now well into fall season here, days are getting shorter and nature are beginning to fade. It is in many ways a great time of year but I find the lack of daylight to be a difficult part. I miss the long light evenings.
This episode is slightly longer than usual but maybe that's appropriate as I do talk about a marathon I did recently.
Sorry if the editing isn't as well done this time, I haven't been able to put in as much time to it as I wanted to.
In this episode I talk about a few ongoing projects besides running and about my new Garmin 230 which I probably will return to in upcoming episodes as I learn more about how to handle the watch.

RtNP#66 Pebbles

Summer has been great so far and even if my training for a fall marathon was set back a little, my running has also been great. In this episode there is a few reports on wildlife spottings and some of my race plans but as usual it is mostly random talking about not very important stuff.  This was recorded on a mid summer leisure run that turned into a self imposed race challenge.

The birds I talk about is:
Kaja - Western Jackdaw      wikipedia link
Buskskvätta - Whinchat      wikipedia link

RtNP#65 Freedom

I hope you still subscribe because I haven't stopped podcasting, I just took a longer break. Longer than I wanted to - sorry.
In this episode you can hear me talk some of where I've been and where I'm at now. It's good to be back, I've missed you all.
